Weekly Wardrobing

Who says you need all new clothes to follow this seasons hottest trends? Revamp your wardrobe with a few essential pieces. (Cargos, bulky sweaters, anything ponte)

With cargos, anything goes. I love this look because it is so laid back and comfortable, yet stylish. You can wear any old beat up tee or tank with your cargos and to add to the look, sport an oversized sweater and chunky jewelry for drama. They could be worn for both day and night with flats or pumps. Obsessed!
Other looks from the week:

Tiered ruffle skirts are everywhere. I especially like this look over sweater leggings or socks with boots for the soon to be brisk weather!

The Return of the UGG

The Jimmy Choo & Ugg collaboration is quickly approaching us! The collection is to be released in October with a price range from $495-$795. I'm not a big UGG person, but I find them extremely comfy on lazy days and wouldn't mind the bedazzling. Will you be splurging on Choo-Uggs?

Milan March Madness

Happy March 1st :)

Milan Fashion Week. Get your blazers, laces, furs and leopards out for Fall 2010.

Dolce & Gabbana
I hate to say it, but yawn. The collection as a whole was a little disappointing, but there were a few clutch pieces. Tailored blazers had the most prominent appearance in the D&G collection, which I found a bit boring. Sure, the pieces work, but I found them to have played it way too safe for such an established company. There was no apparent "new" look within the collection. But, then again... I suppose practicality is in. Even more disappointingly, more than a hand full of the were bare-boned and emaciated. Lace is sexy and all, but they could very clearly use a Big Mac or seven.

Roberto Cavalli

Always lahved Cavalli, this collection seemed alive and inspired. The gowns appeared goddess-like. Cavalli softly added animal prints and fur, allowing it to appear feminine rather than hunter-like. But, enough with the Harem pants!

Missoni

Creative knitwear with tribal inspiration. The outerwear was clearly unique, wraparound with monstrous safety pins. (love)

Prada

What first caught my eye about this collection were the normal-sized models, looking refreshed and lively.

Giorgio Armani

One collection that took a risk. Maybe it was a bit too far-fetched for ready-to-wear. But I respect it nonetheless. Unlike majority of the designers, who have ultimately focused their collections on the "every-day-woman" for Fall 2010, Armani took a leap. Mixing tones and accessorizing boldy, the collection showed true inspiration and creativity.

Herve Leger: Bondage Basic

Filling my heart with happiness on Valentine's Day was Max Azria.. Working the Herve Leger show this past Sunday, the beautiful collection made its way down the runway at Bryant Park. The models, seemingly super-thin, made me feel very much aware that an HL bandage dress would be extremely figure flattering on the average woman; highlighting her curves all the while looking slim. Some of my favorite pieces were a black sheer, geometric shape dress along with a black and green bandage dress. I have to admit, Max played it safe with this collection, sticking to what he knows sells best and by not necessarily taking many fashion risks. Starlets filled the front row, including Melissa George, Jessica Schzor, and Sophia Bush (along side on-screen and off-screen manfriend, Austin Nichols: YUM.)

Some press pic from the show :)

FAV.

Gimme, gimme, gimme.

Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols : and for the record, she might be the sweetest, down to earth celeb; while standing with some fellow fashionistas backstage she came up to say hello. :)

LADY GAGA LAHVS HAITI.

We all know the heartbreak that occurred after the horror of the 7.0 earthquake that struck Haiti. Thousands have been killed and they are in desperate need of aid. Every little bit helps. My beloved Gaga has designed a fabulous Haiti relief T-shirt with all proceeds going towards relief.
